We’re a family and this blog is one Mama’s modern look at motherhood. Here we chronicle our home, relationships, love for entertaining, photography, diy projects and home renovations. We enjoy entertaining friends, making our house our own, and living well in a lived-in home. We would rather invite readers into our house through this blog than “go out” any day of the week. For us, there’s no place like home!
Like our readers, We spend a lot of time researching products and brands for every event, project or want we come up with. We work hard to find the best brands and creators that fit our aesthetic and lifestyle. Just like our readers, we make Pinboards and spend HOURS on other blogs, websites and magazines looking for inspiration. When we do find the BEST brand for whatever we’re looking for, we sometimes, contact them and ask them if they want to collaborate and sponsor the project. Sponsorships look like this- Brands donate their product and pay a fee in exchange for exposure on our blog. We link to them, give all of the details about why we chose them and what makes them a great fit for our little family/home.
Occasionally, a partner comes to us, and we’re always flattered! It’s very cool to meet brands that align so well with what we love and allow us to stay true to who we are. We have made a rule for ourselves that we won’t ever accept partnerships or products that don’t fit our family’s needs, current home projects, and design aesthetic. We won’t promote a product or a project that we aren’t really and truly excited about— even if it’s “free.”
No matter the case, we’ll always let our readers know if a post is “sponsored.” This is our full-disclosure way of keeping our editorial integrity. It’s just the “right thing to do”. It’s our signature, our stamp of approval, our way of saying- we really thought about this/tried this and made an ethical decision to collaborate with a brand we LOVE. That we wouldn’t promote anyone or anything that we wouldn’t buy ourselves, and hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to introduce our readers to a great partner for their own future project. It is these sponsorships that allow us to write more content, churn out more projects, find new products our family can’t live without.
