The more weeks that pass the more glad I am that I started this week by week blog post. It’s really crazy how many changes happen for her in one week! No wonder babies sleep so much, there’s a lot going on in those little bodies and brains!
Things are really starting to catch her attention these days. Sometimes it’s the faces of Mama and Daddy that she’ll give a good stare-down and other moments it’s a bright color or pattern. Where she used to look at these things for a few seconds, she’s now intently focused on them. Almost as if she’s trying to figure them out. When she’s not studying faces and patterns she’s enjoying a little tv time. We’ve discovered the Baby First channel and it’s safe to say she’s in love. Not only will she watch the shows but she’s even interacting with them!
Which brings us to her most reason “milestone”. She’s learned to squeal. And boy will she. It first made its debut as she got excited about the Baby First Holiday Special and is now making an appearance pretty often. She’s even using it as a ploy to get my attention which just further shows how alert she is these days.
We’re having the best time with our conversational little squealer! I can’t believe we get to celebrate her first Christmas ever next week! Now, if only the weather would get in line with how it’s supposed to feel out there! Even though she won’t remember this Christmas I’m excited to see her little reactions to things. I have no doubt in my mind that she will know EXACTLY what is happening. That is the magic of Christmas after all!
