Best Moment this week: Our time spent in the mountains for sure (I’m counting it as this week since we didn’t get around to posting last week) a close second would be getting our crib moved into the Nursery. I’ve got lots and lots of work to do to it but I’m super pumped to get started and hopefully reveal the finished product next week! (just the crib. The nursery itself still has a LONG way to go!)
Miss Anything? Stomach sleeping/laying/lounging/whatever. I still automatically try when I go to lay down on a bed or couch. It’s just instinct. Believe it or not sometimes you do forget you’re pregnant. I’m also to the stage where I hit my stomach on random things: Walls when I turn around too quick, car doors, real doors, kitchen counters while cooking… This thing is officially in the way!
Cravings: All things Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Man, You saw the pb&c pancakes I had on vacation a few days ago and those bad boys HIT THE SPOT. I also brought home peanut butter and chocolate fudge which I’m trying to hold off on eating until after my sugar test on Monday but we’ll see if I make it…
Symptoms: back pain- it’s gotten way worse this week. There’s also this
really cool thing that happens where your tailbone hurts ALL THE TIME thanks to a hormone called relaxin that your body produces while pregnant so that’s just awesome really stinks. Heartburn is bad but as long as I keep chewing gum 24/7 I’m pretty good. It’s surprising just how much chewing gum can help. There’s something about the saliva production that offsets the heartburn. The more you know, right?
Looking forward to: Painting a crib this week and showing you guys what it looks like next week! Man, I think it will really hit me once we get that “big deal” piece of furniture in there. An actual baby that is MINE and Wes’ is gonna be sleeping in that thing! It’s so hard to wrap my head around that bit of news!
Not looking forward to: My sugar test on Monday! That orange stuff is just sitting in my fridge taunting me/reminding me that soon enough it will be time to chug it down and I’m SO not looking forward to it! I’m also really nervous to get those results back. Everybody pray for no gestational diabetes for this girl, I don’t know if I could handle it!
